Assuming your channel as per the set YouTube monetization policies and guidelines, you will receive a congratulation note that your channel has been monetized. However, if it had some copyright issues and strikes, the monetization process may not go through.
Beautifully, YouTube will let you know what is a miss on YouTube and give you a chance to correct it before reapplying after 30 days. After it has been approved, you will have a chance to set your Ad Revenue features.
Do you want to have skippable ads, non-skippable ads, overlays, display ads, or mid-rolls? Well, it all depends on what you want. We recommend you read our article on how to make money from YouTube Guide 1 where we wrote extensively on the Advertising Revenue or Ad Revenue feature.
So, how do you get paid from YouTube? Follow the above steps. What next after you are done with setting ads? You will start seeing the revenue you are generating on your YouTube Analytic. There will be an additional “Revenue” tab where you will see your estimated daily revenues.
Note: It is good to note that Google AdSense no longer shows your YouTube Analytics and performance on their dashboard. You need to monitor that on YouTube studio under the Analytic tab. It is clearly shown there to keep everything clear and transparent to the creator.
