The main reason could be that you have not created short videos that are less than 60 seconds and uploaded them on YouTube. And if you have such videos, you have not included #Shorts on your title or description. That means even YouTube shorts monetization process is not possible.

This is a question I have been asked by hundreds if not thousands of people. Let’s face it. Vertical YouTube shorts do not count to your watch time unless the viewer clicks on them and watches them on a normal watch page.

With a normal YouTube page, the page has a comment section, like and unlike button, subscribe button, etc. I hope you understand me now, right?

Hi Colin, thanks…when it comes to growing on YouTube especially for a new channel, being consistent in your uploads is very important. On continuous streams, if you have the gadget for streaming, then go for it, it will always attract new subscribers, that’s for sure.
