4. Special videos

You can decide that there are certain videos that you want only your members to watch. Of course, that will make them feel special and will attract more to subscribe to your channel memberships feature. That translates to getting paid from YouTube more cash.

You place these members-only videos in such a way that they are visible to every subscriber on your channel but only active members can view them. You can also specify the members level that the video is meant for.

This perk can only be set on a desktop and these members-only videos should be original. Don’t put a video that has copyright claims in this category else it will be a violation of rules. The video could be a new upload or an existing one on your YouTube premium. So, how do you upload the members-only videos:

• Upload the video as you usually do
• Select the level of members you want to watch the video by selecting “members only” and specifying the level 
• You can now choose either “post to members” or “Not Now”. If you choose to post to members, the video will be shared to the members level you specified in your community tab. After you have completed uploading all the members in that level will receive a notification. When you choose “Not now”, the video will not be posted in the community tab but all members will see it. However, only the members of a certain level will watch it and you get paid from YouTube as more people join or upgrade to the level. 
• Finish the usual upload process.

If you are posting an existing video, you will need to select the video and then go to the “Visibility” column, and select “members only”. Then click “Save”. Then follow the above steps until you complete the entire process. 

To ensure everyone knows you have a special video for members only, you can share its URL in the public community, cards, and in your playlists.

For the public subscribers, they will see a note telling them that the video is for members only. They will be shown how to join the members club.
