4. Why is the merch shelf not showing on my videos?

There are various reasons why merch shelf may not appear on your videos. Some of these reasons include: 

• You have set your audience to be kids “Made for kids”
• Your videos are showing donation tabs or ticketing tabs
• Your video has some copyright
• You are not within the countries eligible for merch shelf
• The device your viewers are using to watch your videos could be a game console, mobile browser, or smart TV.
• Your items are under review
• You are not approved for the merch shelf.

5. How do I turn off the merch shelf from my channel or videos?

1. Go to YouTube Studio in your channel
2. Click on the video and choose the video you want to turn off the merch shelf
3. Go to Monetization on the left menu
4. Click on the Merchandise tab.

Either pause or temporarily disable the merch shelf from a certain video on the “Display merchandise besides the video”. You can switch back any time if you want to reactivate the merch shelf.
